Mahjong 101 + 102 | Beginner Lessons

Begin your American mahjong journey with two (2) two-hour beginner lessons, Mahjong 101 and Mahjong 102 held on back-to-back weeks—ideal for newcomers!

Mahjong 101: In your first class, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to the tiles, game setup, how to play, and proper etiquette. You will receive your NML card with this lesson.  

Mahjong 102: The following week you will have your Mahjong 102 lesson, which will be booked at the same time, and is approximately one week later.  Both lessons are included in the price.

What you’ll learn:

• The basics of American mahjong, including tile recognition and game setup

• Gameplay rules and flow

• Common strategies to help you play with confidence

• Etiquette and traditions that make mahjong unique

Each class features interactive learning and lots of practice time, so you can ask questions and get comfortable with the game. By the end, you’ll be ready to join a table, shuffle tiles with confidence, and enjoy the social fun that mahjong brings.

No experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity! We provide all tiles, tables, and a welcoming environment.
